La Rajade is situated in the eastern slopes of Friuli in the Judrio valley along the Slovenian border. The Friulano grape has been grown in this region since at least the 1600s. The vineyard source for this bottle is located on the sunny, mineral-laden soils of a microclimate protected by the Giulian PreAlps to the North and the Adriatic to the South. The grapes are picked at the perfect time to guard against over-ripeness and are left to macerate on the skins at low temperature before a gentle pressing and 15 days fermentation. Aged only in stainless steel, this wine has pleasant ripe fruit and floral notes that are reflected on the palate. This is a versatile pairing wine or a very easy sipper.
