This is the southernmost winery in Oregon! Foris was the first winery in the Rogue Valley, starting back in 1974. Their mantra is that the more work and care you put into the vineyards the less you have to do in the winery. This Pinot sees less than 15% new oak to ensure the delicate aromas and sensual flavor profile isn't overpowered. They go so far as to practice "night picking" where the grapes are harvested between 2 and 3 in the morning when temperatures are at their coolest. This wine offers red fruits and black cherry aromas. On the palate the fruit is joined by star anise, cinnamon, clove, and a hint of oak all balanced with fresh acidity. This is a versatile pairing wine or enjoy on its own.
