The Croatian "Debit" grape is thought to be related to Italy’s more well known Trebbiano. The name is rumored to have come from Napoleon who loved the local wines and would take payment ("Debit") from the people in exchange for his protection! This lovely coastal white wine is refreshing. Fresh-cut green apple dominates the aroma and flavor of the wine. Easy drinking with a nice salinity and depth.
Lovely as an aperitif, with fried seafood, or light Mediterranean cuisine.
